We don't let a setback stop the Green Fair! We have not raised enough funds for our large event in Melbourne Field (a long and sorry tale) and so we are running a smaller event in the Park, on the green outside the Cranbrook Centre (the old Cranbrook Bowling Club). We are also using the space in front of the Pavilion Cafe. So excited! We have on offer: 40 stalls, 1 music area, children's eco activities, environmental workshops, drumming workshops, have-a-go dancing and a Caribbean carnival and dancing led by our local Ageless Teenagers. The only thing missing is alcohol and hot food. For stalls bookings, take a look at the stalls page (give us a day to sort this out!). To help in anyway, send us an email. |

The date of the 2019 Redbridge Green Fair is Sunday 7th July. We need to raise funds to run it. We’ve already been awarded a £3000 Redbridge Arts Grant, and raise about £6000 on stalls but need a fair bit more.
We’re in the customer vote for a Bags of Help grant from Tesco. It’s a scheme which gives community projects like us grants of up to £4,000 – all raised from the sale of carrier bags in Tesco stores. The public will now vote in store during March and April on who should receive the awards. Please support us if you Shop at Tescos Express or Superstores in Ilford, Chadwell Heath, Seven Kings, Goodmayes, Barkingside, Gants Hill, Wanstead and South Woodford. Take along your own bag, but take a counter from your cashier to vote using money raised from the 5p's of those that still use plastic bags. We’ve definitely got £1K but we absolutely need the full £4K to bring you wonderful arts, eco attractions and facilities! The Green Fair is brimming with community spirit because its organised and run by volunteers! We need a big community push to help us raise funds for our well-loved event where the environment and community is top of the agenda. Where it should be. If you shop at Tesco please do vote for the Redbridge Green Fair. And of course take along a re-usable bag. If you want to help in other ways, look at our local call-out. |
