About Us
We are proud to be a not-for-profit community organisation that runs Redbridge community events on a voluntary basis. We were established in 1990 and the first Redbridge Green Fair took place in 1991 in Melbourne Field, Valentines Park.
We have run 13 Redbridge Green Fairs, 9 Midsummer Music Fests, 2 community arts festivals on a street (Toronto Road in Ilford), a community picnic Big Lunch in Valentines Park and a mini Green Fair in Barkingside. We also run the fortnightly Redbridge Music Club and regular music fest events. All our events are brimming with community spirit and draw on local people, resources, talents and skills. Most of our events link our twin themes of 'green' and 'community', the biggest of which is the biennial Redbridge Green Fair.
The Redbridge Green Fair has taken place in 1991, 1993, 1995, 1997, 1999, 2001, 2003, 2005, 2007, 2009, 2012, 2014, 2016. The event has eco attractions, music stages, dancing/have-a-go, large green arts areas, workshops, vegetarian food, beer tent and over 100 stalls including green, community, campaigning, religious/political groups, arts/crafts, alternative health, traders etc. Our largest budget and attendance was in 2009 with 13,000 people attending. We always involve and attract a wide diversity of people and the Green Fair brims with community spirit!
We became a private company limited by guarantee in 2016 and hope to become a Community Interest Company. The Redbridge Green Fair Directors are: Olcay Aniker, Ros Southern, Ross Hatfull and Steve Collins all of whom are Redbridge residents.
Committee members:
Richard Joynson: QA and website
Volunteer roles always available. Please do get in touch if you can help or have ideas, contacts or resources that would be of help.

Mission Statement
This is what we are trying to do.
- promote environmental responsibility and sustainability on a personal, local, national and international level.
- recognise the need for justice and peace on a personal, local, national and international level and will raise awareness on these issues in whatever way we can.
- promote the values of the ‘community’ where all citizens are accepted, respected and can participate free from prejudice and discrimination. We will seek wide community participation in the fair and aim for it to reflect the cultural mix and diversity of the borough
- raise awareness on personal and public health issues from a holistic viewpoint which will include spiritual, emotional, mental and physical well-being.
- promote the celebration of artistic and musical creativity.
