To welcome in the Spring and we have organised a new series of live music sessions in partnership with Ilford Sports & Social Club, at the Cricklefield Stadium in Ilford High Road.
The 'Spring into Summer' programme will provide a host of class acts as well as offering a platform for some of the brightest and best new young talent, especially from the local area.

Green Fair Music will take a break from the Sports Club until September when we'll be back with more great music in a friendly comfortable atmosphere - just the place to meet and catch up with friends!
July sees the return of our annual Midsummer Music Fest. Saturday 11th in Ilford Town Centre and Sunday 12th by the cafe in Valentines Park - 2 great days of all kinds of music played 'for free, for fun, for everyone'. As a final wind-down after the Green Fair, Redbridge Music Fest brings you 3 great acts to round off the Spring nto Summer series for this year.
At the top of the bill are Asymmetry, whose repertoire ranges from jazz-funk and latin to acoustic rock and more. They will be supported by traditional folk outfit Upstreet Irregulars, plus to get the whole place rockin' right from the very first minute - Way T' Go.
The club at the Cricklefield Stadium in Ilford High Road has opened its doors to this new venture to celebrate the wealth of talented musicians who have supported the annual Redbridge Midsummer Music Fest.
Bass-player and Music Fest joint-organiser, Chris Wyatt, said “We’re really pleased to have found this excellent venue for our winter season and invite all lovers of live music to join us in the Ilford Sports Club bar.”
Manager of the Club, Terry Austen, is delighted to be a partner in this initiative. “It will provide a brilliant new dimension for our existing members as well as encouraging the wider community to come in and see what else we have to offer here. We also hope some of the musicians will come back to play at other times, maybe even hiring our rehearsal room, ‘The Leg Up’. I know that Chris and Steve Collins have lined up a brilliant range of acts to play over the coming months.”

Upstreet Irregulars - this acoustic quartet featuring violin, guitar, accordian and concertina provide a refreshing set of traditional English folk tunes guaranteed to generate smiling faces and tapping toes. Way T' Go rocked up a storm and really impressed at their first appearance at the Sports Club back in March, including some classic tracks from the good old days before the band members were even born! They will open the show so get there early or you'll miss a treat Way T' Go describe themeselves as a 'new and exciting live rock band'. Groove Therapy, aka the Julia Austin Quartet, have been playing together now for two years. They are essentially a four piece jazz/funk outfit playing a mixture of funk covers and Soul Jazz. The band are...Julia Austin on saxes Tom Potten on keyboards Perry Barnett on bass and Marc Wotherspoon on drums. The Green Ray, a Psych-Rock band led by lead vocalist and bass player Ken Whaley and also featuring Richard Treece on soaring lead guitar, Simon Whaley on drums and Simon Haspeck on guitars.
